I always wanted to hear other people's opinions regarding this question (by other people i mean people like me): "Is God actually mad at me for being gay?" Some people might read this and be like,"Oh boy, not this question again." But please hear me out: My family is a little old-fashioned and my mom is a die-hard Pentecostal and although i am happy to say my family accepts me for who i am, my whole life I've been taught that i was "suppose" to marry a guy and anything opposite to that was a one way ticket to hell. I scared me so much that when i first started thinking about women (in that way) i cried and asked God to forgive me cause i actually believed what they told me taught. I actually still hear these teachings being preached on my campus actually. I love myself for who i am and have my own reasons for believing that God DOES NOT hate me for being gay but i would still like to hear you girls opinion on the matter seeing as how this is a big debate among the Christian and LGBTQ community. Maybe there is someone hear who has been asking the same question and hasn't found an answer, idk.
Do you guys think that us being gay makes God unhappy? Do you even care if it does? And if you don't think he is....why? Anyone?

I was brought up by a Christian dad and all my life I heard how bad, unnatural and disgusting gays are.
But the way I see it is, I don't want to go to "heaven" if the God there doesn't want me to love someone purely because of their gender. After all, was Jesus all about loving everyone? I'm not a Satanist or anything but Lucifer seems like a pretty rad guy seeing as he's housing all the misfits that God doesn't want. What a bro.

I agree with Wh1plash even if I'm Jew, I think it's the same state of mind. Well, I don't really know but I think that if it's God who creates us, we can't be against his will, right ? I think that the main problem is that people are interpreted the Bible when they justify themselves, they believe that a man has to marry a woman because of the procreation. So I would not listen to them because there is not written anywhere that you should be ashamed of who you are because of who you love. And if you want a kid, there's plenty ways of have one. Hope this helped and that I'm not wrong in anything of what I said... Keep loving yourself, it's what matter the most !

I don't think I will be a good help because I'm an atheist and I don't know a lot about religion. But I think that if your God is against gay people, he wouldn't have created them in the first place. A very long time ago, being gay was not a big deal. But later someone created the idea of hating them because they couldn't procreate, and tried to justify it with the Bible (and it stayed that way).

The God I believe in is a kind and benevolent gos. Not spiteful or hateful. We are all god's children aren't we? I am a very good person. The fatc that I'm sexually attracted to women instead of men doesn't change that

I have only one belief when people talk about gays and religion, if God(regardless of religion) didn't like gay people, he/she wouldn't have created any of us.

I am personally not religious, but growing up around a lot of religious family, they always talked about how God loves and forgives his children, and how they have learned how to forgive and love through God.
So, if God is so forgiving and loving, why would God reject a certain group of people from heaven just for who they hold hands with? It never made any sense to me.
I see it as, God made us this way, this is how we were intended to be and of course God will love us.

It's going to sound weird... but I believe there is a God for everyone. It is someone you can call onto when you are feeling upset, or need insight. So, why would God ever be mad at anyone for being what He had planned for you. I met a Pastor who was so kind, and gentle and a really good guy. I was going through a really tough time and needed someone to talk too. I walked up to him and pulled him aside.I had told him that I wanted to talk and maybe come back to church but I told him I was gay and and he said that's ok! We will always love you and we are here for you. I sadly haven't been back, but I want to go back so badly. So... I don't think he's mad. I think you have to open your heart to all sorts of love and all sorts of people. Some may judge cause that's what they're going to do.

I have wrestled with this a lot but ultimately I believe God loves gays the same way he loves everyone else. I think that a lot of people like to use the Bible to condemn homosexuality but I have yet to find anything that condemns healthy same sex relationships. I also believe God calls us to love one another and he doesn't put boundaries on who we can love.

I always think to myself that hell is a place for child molesters and murders and con artists. Hell is like a dirty alleyway, not a place for creative thinkers. I'm obviously a Christian. But I believe that only those who have accepted Jesus as their saviour and that have a clean heart enter Heaven.
