Hey yall. I'm Sunshine, I'm from Miami, Florida. I'm 18 years old. And I'm a college student just coming to terms with bisexuality. I've always felt attracted to males and females since I was in kindergarten. But I never thought to acknowledge it until recently. I found this website through tumblr. And I'm glad to be here. Anyway, feel free to chat me up

Also, I've been asking everybody what did you do when you first realized you might be lesbian or bisexual or pansexual or whatever else you identify as?

Hi there Sunshine! Btw, is that your real name? Its cool cause I have a friend named Sunshine too! To answer your question, I always had a thing for girls since I was 12. I hadn't even known that it was possible to be attracted to someone of the same gender until I was 11 and a friend told me she was a lesbian(and she had to explain to me what that was). Growing up in Asia and being queer is hard. For many years I kept thinking that it was just a phase and that I'd grow out of it. Until one day when I was 19, I realised that that wasn't going to happen. So I came out to a friend, who told me that it was obvious that I'm gay. At that point I had liked someone, and because I'm only surrounded by straight girls, I fell for one. And when I told her how I felt, she freaked out. We didn't talk for a while. But now we've grown to become good friends since then. It's been 2 years since I've come to terms with being gay and I have slowly come out to more people and I have to say that I'm lucky enough to have been accepted by my friends. The only thing I have left to do is come out to my family. Which right now, I can't bring myself to do, yet(i hope). I hope I somehow answered your question haha

No, that was perfect! Any advice you have, I'll take. And no, sadly Sunshine isn't my birth name. When I was still a newborn, my brother Aaron (who is only about 2 years older than me) gave me that nickname. My whole family calls me Sunshine. But one day when the time is right, you'll have the courage to tell your family. I believe in you.

Hey, welcome! I love the nickname sunshine!(: it took me a really long time to acknowledge to myself that I was gay. I would have crushes on girls but think that they were just "friend" crushes not real ones. I grew up not really being aware that I could be with a girl, everyone was always talking about dating/marrying guys and once I went to college I finally started thinking for myself and figured it out. I got involved in the tumble lgco mmunity, made a pof account ad hungout/went on a couple dates, made out with a girl for the first time. Only after that I came out to some people. I wouldn't worry too much about what to do, just go with the flow(:
